Documents

What you need to cross

Passport or Passport Card

Valid for crossing on foot or by car. The passport card is more economical and sufficient for land crossings.

NO FMM needed for short visits

For stays less than 72 hours in the border zone, you do not need FMM immigration permit (unlike Los Algodones, which now requires it).

Insurance

How to use your US dental insurance

Most US dental insurers (PPO plans mainly) accept reimbursements for treatments performed in Mexico. Check with your insurer before you travel to confirm your coverage.

  1. 1

    Bring your claim form

Ask your insurer for the claim form before you travel.

  2. 2

We fill it out for you

We detail the treatment with ADA codes and hand you an itemized invoice + X-rays.

  3. 3

You submit it to your insurer

You file the claim with your insurance after returning to the US.

  4. 4

    You receive the reimbursement

If your insurer accepts work performed in Mexico, they reimburse you according to your plan.

Note: we are an out-of-network provider. The reimbursement amount depends on your plan and whether your insurer covers international services.
